Matthew Militzok prosecutes cases involving toxic mold exposure, sick building and indoor environmental litigation.  He represents adults and children who have been subjected to, and injured by, toxic mold exposure and other types of indoor contamination. Mr. Militzok focuses on lawsuits on behalf of tenants living in apartments, condominiums, duplexes, and single family homes against landlords, as well as claims against condominium associations, property managers, insurance companies, and slumlords who are responsible for his clients’ illnesses related to exposure to toxic mold, asbestos, toxins, dust mites, bed bugs, and other indoor environmental problems.

Mr. Militzok practices in the areas of residential and commercial real estate transactions where he has closed hundreds of transactions. Mr. Militzok has handled commercial transactions with purchase prices up to $26 million. He has additional expertise in transactions involving shopping centers and gas stations. In addition, he handled thousands of landlord/tenant matters, including residential and commercial landlord evictions and tenant defense cases.

In addition to his real estate practice, Mr. Militzok also handles consumer and business bankruptcies in the Federal Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of Florida. In conjunction, he additionally sets up asset protection plans for clients who wish to utilize the generous exemptions for debtors available under the Florida constitution.

Finally, he handles a wide variety of business related transactions. He has provided counsel in closing some high-profile business purchase and sales. Prior to founding the Firm in 2002, Mr. Militzok was the general counsel for two South Florida corporations.

Mr. Militzok was selected to Super Lawyers each year from 2012 – 2021.

Mr. Militzok is a supporter of local youth sports.
